Flat fare for small groups of 3 or 4 people travelling together, i.e. the price is the same whether there are 3 or 4 people in the group. The Friends Fare is an Advance ticket and is quota controlled.

Key conditions

From 20 May 2007, Friends Fare tickets can be booked up until 6pm the day before travel. Travel is in standard accommodation only, on First ScotRail services only and all persons in the group must travel together for the outward and return journeys. Reservations are essential when booking this ticket. Both outward and return reservations must be made at the same time. Return travel must be made within one month of outward travel. Break of journey at intermediate stations is not allowed, unless for designated connections.

Friends fare tickets can be bought at principal First ScotRail stations, selected rail appointed Travel Agents and via ScotRail Telesales on 08457 55 00 33. It is not available on the train.
